FLORIDA

RV  Threads Rating 3.5  Lake Louisa State Park Clermont, FL.  Nice area in Central Florida, near Disney. Level sites with clean restrooms but no sewer hookup. It could use some large trees for shade. Sites have picnic tables. Originally an old citrus grove on Lake Louisa. Lake Louisa is the largest in a chain of 13 lakes connected by the Palatlakaha River for boating or fishing.

RV Threads Rating 4.5  Silver River State Park Ocala, FL. Great campground with nture trails and large wooded RV sites which could fit two RV's. Trails To Silver River and next to Silver Springs attraction. Clean restrooms, water and electric with dump station. 

RV Threads Rating 3.0   Bee's RV Clermont, FL. Campground located in the center of the state of Florida and is operated by some very nice people. Activities, good restaurant, pool, laundry room. Close to Disney. RV sites seem too close together with some road noise from US Hwy 27. Too many permanent trailers.   

RV Threads Rating  4.5  Lake Kissimee State Park Lake Wales, FL. Great for nature lovers with plenty of  land.  Very private and wooded sites. In most cases, you can't see the campsite next to you. Sites are large but hard to get into.  Water & electric with dump station and clean restrooms. Some deer and wild animals can be seen along the nice nature trail to Lake Kissimee. You will need to use vehicle for supplies. Entrance is 5 miles from campsite. If you like it quiet -  this is the place for you. 

RV Threads Rating 3.5  Fort Desoto State Park Pinnelas FL.  Great area near beach but campground was dissappointing. Wooded area but too tight and small. Some sites on the water for fishing. Beach is about 3 miles from campsite. Did not get a good feeling about the park. Not recommended for large RV's. We had problems getting our 38'  fifth wheel in. 

RV Threads Rating -1.0  Encore Resort Pinnelas, FL.  Not much of a resort. We would rather dry camp at WalMart!                  

RV Thread Rating 3.75  Clerbrook RV Resort Clermont, FL.  Nice resort and well maintaned with good sized sites, some are wooded. Golf course, nice pool areas.  Water, electric and  sewer with clean restrooms. Near Disney and really a nice place to spend some time. Only negative is to many permanent sites. 

RV Threads Rating 2.0  Daytona Beach KOA, Daytona Beach, FL.  Disapointing, we would not stay there again. Managment was very friendly, nice office, camp store and pool area, but no trees or shade. Small sites and park located between two residential developments. Has water,electric and sewer.  

RVThreads Rating 3.5 now, 4.5 When Completed  Wekiva Fall Resort Sorrento, FL.  Located on the Wekiva River, this 100 acre campground will be one of the best in Florida. New owners are investing and remodeling this 800 site campground . Extra large 87' x 142' sites with sun or full shade.  Swim in the large spring fed swimming lagoon or rent a kayak or canoe. Boat tours on the Wekiva River. Water, electric and sewer. Historic Paleo Indian site and large Mastadon fossils.

RV Threads Rating 4.0  Larry and Penny Thompson Campground Miami Fl.  270 acres of woodland, hiking path, jogging and bike trails, 240 camp sites with full hook - ups, large restrooms and laundry facilities, camp store, picnic area, a large fresh water lake with a beach area and water slide, animals welcome on leash. 

GEORGIA

RV Threads Rating 3.5  Southern Trails RV Resort, Unadilla, GA.  Nice Campground with large sites. Has playground, minature golf and horseshoes. Features a nice pool and fishing pond with catch and release only . Has a nice recreation area were they fix pancakes and gather for bingo water,electric and sewer. Also a dump station, Propane and security guard. 

RV Threads Rating 3..0  Lake Harmonny RV Park , Townsend GA.  Campground OK for one or two night stay. Just off Interstate I-95, on a small lake wooded sites with boat rentals and fishing. Electric, water and sewer.  Listed in AOR book as ACN resort,  but only gave us a 10% discount.

RV Threads Rating 4.5 Skidaway State Park, Savannah Ga. This 588 acres located near historic Savannah with two nature trails through marshes,live oaks cabbage palmettos and longleaf pines, lookout for deer,racoon,shore birds. An observation tower gives you a great view. Large wooded sites plenty of space between sites, nice swimming pool and bath house and playgrounds.Great biking area.

NORTH CAROLINA

RV Threads Rating 3.0  Trail End RV Park Waynesville, NC. Just off the beaten path this very small campground its hard to get in but has a great view of the mountain. Owners are slowly developing this park, they have new electrical, sewer and water no bath house, this campground is for those who want to really get away, manager was great and very helpfull, dogs of any size allowed. No thrills camping nothing to do at campground just visit area attarctions. 

RVThreads Rating 3.5  Rose Creek Campground & Cabins Franklin, NC  Secluded, level and shaded sites. Located in a serene valley. Surrounded by gem mining, fishing, river adventures and local attractions. A trout pond, swimming pool, and gem mining on premises. Very Nicely maintained a great get away.  

RV Threads Rating 3.25  River Bend RV Resort & Campground Franklin, NC A very small campground only 13 sites with a bath house, Close to town located on the Cullasaja & Ellijay rivers swimming, Fishing, Tubing. Clen quite & peaceful. 

RV Threads Rating 4.00  Bass Lake RV Resort Salisbury, NC.  This 40-acre resort has full amenities, Laundry facilities, pavillon, horeshoes, basketball, pool, stocked fishing pond with paddle boats, playground, bathhouse, Nice natural setting lots of trees sun & shade. Plenty of open space .

RV Threads Rating 4.5 McDowell Nature Preserve Charlotte, NC.   Excellent campground. Large wooded well spaced level sites, Lots of hiking trails. Located on lake wyle. Nice clean restrooms, picnic areas, Quite peacefull but close to town. Will be going back soon.
